What is happening?

Salford City Council made the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The title and effect of the Order is as follows ; City Of Salford (Birkdale Grove/ Vicarage Grove, Eccles) (Limited Waiting Parking And Loading Bay) Order 2026 Limited Waiting Parking Place “Mon - Sat, 8:00am - 6:00pm, 30mins, no return within 1 hour on: Birkdale Grove East side - from a point 30m south of the southern extended kerb line of Vicarage Grove, in a southerly direction for 24m. Goods only Loading/Unloading at all Times on; Birkdale Grove - east side from a point 16 metres south of the southern extended kerbline of Vicarage Grove for a distance of 14 metres. Existing Orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with the proposals. The Order will come into operation on the 25th June 2026.

A copy of the Order and plan will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.

Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested at phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or by writing to Fiona Ledden, City Solicitor PO BOX 532, Town Hall, Manchester M60 2LA quoting reference L/GS/SCC006/01129 If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks from 23rd June 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
