Temporary Traffic Management Order - (Keir Hardie Way, Barking) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026

Notice Of Intent

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate sewer cover, and frame replacement works in the carriageway, The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intend to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Thursday 30 July 2026.

The works expected for:
- Sewer cover and frame replacement works in the carriageway to take 1 day to complete. Completion date estimated as Thursday 30 July 2026 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 7:00pm and 11:00pm.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily:-
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for Marshalled Access with 15-minute delays) on Keir Hardie Way, both sides, from its junction with Meadow Road for 24.5 metres in an easterly direction.
- Suspend the Resident Permit Holders Only Zone UP Mon-Fri 1:30pm – 2:30pm bay on Keir Hardie Way, north side, outside Winchester House.
