Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 19 June 2026, Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Emlyn Road (D1271) Redhill as extends from its junction with Brambletye Park Road (D1271) to its junction with Knighton Road (D1271).

Alternative route – Brambletye Park Road and Knighton Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate repairs on underground service cables and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences 29 June 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 11.59pm. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Bonehurst Road (A23) Salfords
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 19 June 2026, Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from turning right into: 1. Horley Lodge Lane from Bonehurst Road (A23) Salfords; and 2. Bonehurst Road (A23) Salfords from Horley Lodge Lane.

Alternative route – 1. A23 (Bonehurst Road, Balcombe Road, Brighton Road and Bonehurst Road). 2. A23 (Bonehurst Road), Salbrook Road and A23 (Bonehurst Road).

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences 29 June 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary turn bans, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Brook Road (D1168) Merstham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 19 June 2026, Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brook Road (D1168) Merstham as extends from its junction with Bletchingley Road (C69) to a point 20 metres north of this junction.

Alternative route – Bletchlingley Road, Wood Street and Malmstone Avenue, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences 6 July 2026 for 1 month between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Weare Street (D293) Capel
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 19 June 2026, Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Weare Street (D293) Capel as extends from its junction with Coles Lane (B2126) to the access for “Russets”.

Alternative route – B2126 (Coles Lane), A29 (Stane Street) and Weare Street, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate hydroseeding of culvert headwalls and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences 27 June 2026 between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 19 June 2026, Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- (a) Ebbisham Lane (C55) and Hurst Road (C55) Walton on the Hill as extends the access for Ebbisham Farm to the access for Hurstfields; and (b) Ebbisham Lane (D1134) Walton on the Hill as extends from its junction Hurst Road (C55) to the access for Grey Tiles.

Alternative route – B2220 (Walton Street and Chequers Lane), B2032 (Dorking Road), B2033 (Headley Common Road), Church Lane and Hurst Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate mains replacement and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences 6 July 2026 for 2 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Henfold Lane (D301) Beare Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 24 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Henfold Lane (D301) Beare Green. 

Alternative Route: Henfold Lane, Mill Road, (A24) Horsham Road, (A24) Beare Green Roundabout, Newdigate Road, Trig Street, Kingsland, Village Street, and Henfold Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains connection works for, or on behalf of SGN. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 9am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Oakdene Road (D1264) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

On 24 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of length of; (a) Oakdene Road (D1264) Redhill as extends from its junction with (D1266) Upper Bridge Road to its junction with (D1264) The Tannery; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Oakdene Road (D1264) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: (1) Oakdene Road, Upper Bridge Road, Grovehill Road, Linkfield Street, and Oakdene Road; (2) Linkfield Street, Grovehill Road, and Upper Bridge Road. 

This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for residents and businesses, and they will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Grange Road (D1434) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 24 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Grange Road (D1434) Caterham as extends from its junction with (D1433) Harestone Hill to its junction with (X10022) Windrushes. 

Alternative Route: Harestone Hill, Harestone Valley Road, (B2030) Station Avenue, (B2030) The Square, (B2030) Godstone Road, Tupwood Lane, and Grange Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Due to the nature of the works, there will be no other vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

D2540 Cleeve Road, Leatherhead
Temporary (Suspension) Order 2026

On 24 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to suspend the order imposing a width restriction on D2540 Cleeve Road, Leatherhead, that length of which extends for a distance of 3 metres either side of a point lying opposite the property boundary line between Nos. 120 and 122 Cleeve Road, namely “SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL CLEEVE ROAD (D2540) LEATHERHEAD (WIDTH RESTRICTION) ORDER 2006”, in its entirety. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to surfacing works and/or major maintenance works being carried out on or near the said roads, which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed/covered up.

Tattenham Way (B2221) and Picquets Way (D1014) Burgh Heath
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- 1. the westbound carriageway of Tattenham Way (B2221) Burgh Heath as extends from its junction with Meadow Way (X25283) to its junction with Brighton Road (A317) and 

2. Picquets Way (D1014) Burgh Heath as extends from its junction with Tattenham Way (B2221) to its junction with Picquets Way (D1014) (as leads to the odd numbers between 35 to 45 Picquets Way).

Alternative route – 1. Anti-clockwise: A217 (Brighton Road), A2022 (Fir Tree Road) and A240 (Reigate Road). clockwise: A217 (Brighton Road) and A240 (Reigate Road). 2. A217 (Brighton Road) and The Drive, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate drainage improvements and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026 for 2 months between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Woodhurst Lane (D424) Oxted
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodhurst Lane (D424) Oxted as extends from its junction with Oast Road (D424) to its junction with Church Way (D424).

Alternative route – Oast Road and Church Way, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate new connections and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026 for 5 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Aperdele Road (D2504) Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding or waiting in that length of Aperdele Road (D2504) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with Kingston Road (B2430) to its junction with Clare Crescent (D2539).

Alternative route – Aperdele Road and B2430 (Kingston Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate drainage improvements and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026 for 5 days between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and waiting restriction, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents will be maintained although there may be a delay.

Alexander Road (D1303) and Prices Lane (C223) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Alexander Road (D1303) Reigate as extends from its junction with (D1303) Stuart Crescent to its junction with (C223) Prices Lane; (b) Prices Lane (C223) Reigate as extends from its junction with (D1303) Alexander Road to its junction with (C223) Sandcross Lane; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Reigate and Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road in part (b) of this Notice. 

Alternative Route: (1) Sandcross Lane, Lyndhurst Road, Stuart Road, and Stuart Crescent, or this route in reverse; (2) Prices Lane, (A217) Dovers Green Road, and Sandcross Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate installation of a trunk main works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Mid Street (D384) South Nutfield; (b) North Station Approach (D383) South Nutfield. Alternative Route: Sandy Lane.

These works will be carried out in 4 phases. 

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works will be carried out in 4 phases. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 15 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Woldingham Road (C72) Woldingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woldingham Road (C72) Woldingham that is crossed under the bridge known as “Woldingham Viaduct (SCU1) (509) and for a distance of 20 metres either side. 

Alternative Route: Woldingham Road, (A22) Wapses lodge Roundabout, (A22) Godstone Road, (B270) Hilbury Road, (B270) Westhall Road, (B269) Limpsfield Road, Slines Oak Road, Halliloo Valley Road, and Woldingham Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate bridge examination works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Centurion/ Amey Consulting South East Anglia within the length of road described in this notice. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 23 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. No sole access is affected by this closure.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- 1. the westbound carriageway of Station Road (D1385) Whyteleafe as extends from its junction with Godstone Road (A22) to a point 18 metres east of this junction and 2. Salmons Lane (D1388) Whyteleafe as extends from its junction with Godstone Road (A22) to a point 35 metres west of this junction.

Alternative route – 1. Station Road, Station Approach, B270 (Hillbury Road) and A22 (Godstone Road). 2 Salmons Lane, Whyteleafe Hill and A22 (Godstone Road), or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas works and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over multiple phases during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026 for 5 months between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of the Act the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to facilitate the prevention of vehicular congestion while works are being carried on (A245) Kingston Road for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. For part (a) these works will be nightworks, between the hours of 8pm and 6am Monday to Friday only; For parts (b) and (c); these works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

(b) that length of Kingston Avenue (D2599) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with (A245) Kingston Road and for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction along Kingston Avenue. Alternative Route: (1) Kingston Avenue, Linden Road, (B2122) Leret Way, (A245) Bull Hill, (A245) Station Road, (A245) Station Approach Road, (A245) Randalls Road, and (A245) Kingston Road; (2) (A245) Kingston Road, (A245) Bull Hill, (B2122) Leret Way, Linden Road, St Johns Avenue, and Kingston Avenue.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in those lengths of road or any part or parts thereof described in the Schedule to this notice; and 2. suspend “The Surrey County Council Rook Lane (B2031) Chaldon Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026”, “The Surrey County Council Hilltop Lane (D388) Chaldon and Merstham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” and “The Surrey County Council Hilltop Lane (D388) Chaldon and Merstham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as they relate to the lengths of road described in the Schedule to this notice.

Alternative route – A23 (London Road North, High Street, London Road South, London Road and Princess Way), A25 (Redstone Hill, Nutfield Road, Bletchingley Road, Castle Street, High Street, Godstone Road, Bletchingley Road, Godstone Green (clockwise only) and High Street), B2235 (Godstone Hill), A22 (Godstone Interchange, Godstone Hill and Godstone Road) and B2030 (Godstone Road, Station Avenue and Church Hill), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate highways improvements associated with phase 4 of St Peter & St Paul’s C of E Infant School Expansion and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 July 2026 between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents will be maintained although there may be a delay.
