The reason for the closures and restrictions is for Pre Surface Treatment Patching & Surface Dressing Works. There will be no waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 1st July 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th June 2027. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 41214 GLOUCESTER ROAD TO HALFWAY PITCH (PITCHCOMBE PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 41214 Gloucester Road to Halfway Pitch from outside of the property known as ‘Inglenook’ to outside of the property known as ‘Pitchcombe House’ for a distance of approximately 130 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed between the hours of 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs from 14th July 2026 until 16th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 401179 Harescombe Lane to Spring Acre from outside the property known as ‘Yew Tree Cottage’ to outside the property known as ‘Spring Acre’ for a distance of approximately 737 metres. The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4058 Old Bristol Road from its junction with the A46 Bath Road to its junction with the Old Horsley Road for a distance of approximately 610 metres. The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed from 20:00hrs to 06:00 only (overnight only) from 13th July 2026 until 15th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH EFL 17
(FRETHERNE WITH SAUL PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) the Public Footpath EFL 17, extending in a generally south easterly direction, for approximately 150 metres, to its junction with Public Footpath EFL 28.
The said closure is necessary to protect the public whilst refurbishment works on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal sluice gates are completed.
The Order will come into force on the 13th July 2026 and it is anticipated that the said Public Footpath will close on that day until 11th September 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH MLS 8
(LEONARD STANLEY PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has further extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath MLS 8 from its junction with Bath Road in a generally north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 250 metres to its junction with the field boundary 5 metres south of the intersection with Public Footpath MLS 9.
The closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst development works take place.
This temporary closure Order came into force on the 23rd January 2026 and was expected to end on the 23rd July 2026. However, the works have still not been completed and the Secretary of State has granted an extension until 23rd January 2028 or until the works are complete, whichever is earliest.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (30MPH & 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT)
(CIRENCESTER ROAD, MINCHINHAMPTON) (STROUD DISTRICT) ORDER 2026
Please note that a similar notice was advertised on 10th June 2026, however, due to an administrative error, we are advertising it again.
Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Sections 81-84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made the above-named order the effect of which will be to:
- Introduce an eastern extension to the existing 30mph speed limit as signed on site on Cirencester Road by revoking the existing 40mph speed limit in the section where there is streetlighting and introducing a 30mph speed limit by virtue of street lighting (restricted road);
- Rectify anomalies between the existing 30mph speed limit by virtue of a Traffic Order and the on-site situation by revoking the existing Traffic Order and introducing a 30mph speed limit by virtue of street lighting (restricted road where there is street lighting) as detailed in Schedule 2 below and by Traffic Order as detailed in Schedule 1 below (where there is no streetlighting) along Cirencester Road; and
- Remake the extent of the existing 40mph speed limit as detailed in Schedule 3 below.
