TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH TRING RURAL 013, 061

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Tring Rural 013, 061, Footpath 061 from junction with Footpath 013 to county border, Footpath 013 from junction with Footpath 011 to county border, for an approximate distance of 559m.

Alternative route: On diversion route provided.

The purpose of the Order is to enable maintenance works to take place. The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 25 June 2026 for up to 4 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON POTTEN END HILL, GREAT GADDESDEN/WATER END ROAD, POTTEN END) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Potten End Hill, Great Gaddesden/ Water End Road, Potten End from its junction with B440 Leighton Buzzard Road south westwards to its junction with Hollybush Close, a distance of approximately 1625m (“the length of Roads”), except for access. An alternative route will be via B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Galley Hill, Boxted Road, Berkhamsted Road, Hempstead Lane, The Green and Water End Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HOGPITS BOTTOM, FLAUNDEN AND BIRCH LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1.  that length of Hogpits Bottom, Flaunden from its junction with Flaunden Lane north westwards to its junction with Flaunden Park, a distance of approximately 296m.

An alternative route will be via Flaunden Lane, Venus Hill, Long Lane and Hogpits Bottom.

2.  that length of Birch Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Hogpits Bottom south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 318m.

An alternative route will be via Flaunden Lane, Venus Hill, Shantock Lane, Maple Hill, Rabbits Lane, Middle Road, Horse Hill, Hockley Bottom, Flaunden Bottom, Flaunden Hill and Birch Lane.

The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 8 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STOCKS ROAD, ALDBURY) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Stocks Road, Aldbury from its junction with Aldbury Public Bridleway No.056 north westwards for a distance of approximately 259m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Stocks Road, Station Road, Northfield Road, B488 Icknield Way and Stocks Road.

The Order is needed because water service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 15 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, BOVINGDON,

FLAUNDEN AND CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:1. that length of Buncefield Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A414 Breakspear Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 443m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Boundary Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the Boundary Way roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 50m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of B4505 (Hempstead Road/Box Lane), Bovingdon from its junction with Vicarage Lane north eastwards to its junction with A4251 London Road, a distance of approximately 3085m.

An alternative route will be via B4505 (Hempstead Road/Chesham Road/

Rushmere Avenue/Orchard Leigh/Ley Green Road/Eskdale Avenue), A416 (Broad Street/Berkhamsted Road/Nashleigh Hill/Hayley Green Road/Chesham Road), A41 (unnamed road) and A4251 London Road.

4.  that length of Flaunden Hill, Flaunden from its junction with Flaunden Bottom north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Birch Lane, a distance of approximately 997m.

An alternative route will be via Flaunden Bottom, The Village, Latimer Bottom, Latimer Road, Chenies Road, Bragmans Lane and Birch Lane.

5.  that length of Green Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4147 Leverstock Green Road north eastwards to its junction with the A414 Breakspear Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 1135m. An alternative route will be via A4147 (Leverstock Green Road/Leverstock Green Way) and A414 Breakspear Way.

6.   that length of Highfield Lane/Widmore Drive/Highfield Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with B487 Queensway south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with High Street Green, a distance of approximately 572m. An alternative route will be via B487 Queensway and High Street Green. 7. that length of Langley Road, Chipperfield from its junction with Kings Lane north eastwards to its junction with Chipperfield Road, a distance of approximately 974m.

An alternative route will be via Chapel Croft, Tower Hill, Chipperfield Road, High Street, B4505 (Hempstead Road/Box Lane), A4251 (London Road/ Hempstead Road), Vicarage Lane and Chipperfield Road.

8.    that length of Pancake Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4147 Leverstock Green Road north eastwards to its junction with Westwick Row, a distance of approximately 509m.

An alternative route will be via A4147 Leverstock Green Road, Green Lane and Westwick Row.

9.   that length of Venus Hill, Flaunden from its junction with Long Lane south eastwards to its junction with Flaunden Lane, a distance of approximately 902m.

An alternative route will be via Long Lane, Water Lane and Flaunden Lane. 10. that length of Water Lane, Bovingdon from its junction with Long Lane south eastwards to its junction with Flaunden Lane, a distance of approximately 891m.

An alternative route will be via Long Lane, Venus Hill and Flaunden Lane. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 15 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF OLD FISHERY LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD AND HEMEL HEMPSTEAD PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.096) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Old Fishery Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Chaulden Lane south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 337m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2.  To prohibit all pedestrians from using Hemel Hempstead Public Footpath No.096 from its junction with A4251 London Road north eastwards to its junction with Old Fishery Lane, a distance of approximately 77m (“the Public Footpath”).

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road and Public Footpath.

The Order will come into effect from 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 8 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Public Footpath.

A4146 LEIGHTON BUZZARD ROAD AND COMBE STREET,

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:1. that length of A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A414 The Plough roundabout north westwards to its junction with the B487 Queensway/Warners End Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 1203m.

An alternative route will be via A414 St Albans Road, A4147 (Maylands Avenue/Swallowdale Lane/Redbourn Road/Link Road) and A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road.

2. that length of Combe Street, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road roundabout eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Marlowes, a distance of approximately 175m. An alternative route will be via A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, B487 Queensway and Marlowes.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 1 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (OLD WATLING STREET, MARKYATE)

(PRESCRIBED ROUTES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a new 40 mph speed limit and no entry restrictions in parts of Flamstead and Markyate as specified in the Schedules to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 24 June 2026 during office hours, at Main Reception, Farnham House, Stevenage, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Dacorum and looking at Ref: D00626.
