LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING

Proposed - Zone SA removal of motorcycles eligibility within permit parking places.

The Ealing (South Acton Industrial - Zone SA-1) (Permit Parking Places) (No. 1, 2020) (Amendment No. ***) Order 202*.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing, proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the proposed Order would be to amend the ‘The Ealing (South Acton Industrial - Zone SA-1) (Permit Parking Places) Order 2020’: (a) by removing the eligibility of existing permits issued for ‘motorcycles’ to parking within permit parking places; (b) removing the opportunity to apply and re apply for parking permits for parking a motorcycle within permit parking places within Zone SA, and by updating Article 5 & Schedule 1, as detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

3. The proposed Order, other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order including a plan, are available by e-mail request to ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or by inspection at Staff Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order.

4. Any enquiries, objections or other representations about any of the proposed Order should be sent in writing by e-mail to ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or by post to Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL, quoting reference P033-26 until 15 July 2026. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should include the address of the author.

SCHEDULE

5. Vehicles for which parking places are designated Each parking place referred to in Schedule 1 to this Order may be use, subject of the provisions of this Order, for the leaving during the permitted hours of: -

(a) such vehicles as display in the manner specified in Article 15 to this Order a valid permit, a valid visitors voucher, or a borough wide visitors’ service voucher issued in respect of that vehicle;

(b) a disabled person’s vehicle displaying a disabled persons badge, without the requirement to display a permit or a visitor voucher.

Schedule 1

In relation to a parking place referred to in this schedule the expression “permitted hours” means the periods between 10am and 11am & 3pm and 4pm, any such day not being Christmas day, good Friday or a bank holiday. parking places in which a vehicle may be left during the permitted hours: -

(a) if it displays or has been issued with an electronic valid SA zone permit or residents visitors voucher, or

(b) in the case of vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge, without displaying a permit or visitor’s voucher; or

(c) for a maximum period of one hour, during the permitted hours if it displays a valid business visitor’s voucher; or

(d) if it displays a borough-wide visitor service voucher.
