What is happening?
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(BRIDGE NORTH DRIVE & GREENBANK DRIVE, LITTLEBOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(1) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:
(i) Bridge North Drive from its junction with Smithy Bridge Road for its entire length
(ii) Greenbank Drive from its junction with Bridge North Drive for its entire length.
The Order is required to safely facilitate the opportunity to host a street gathering, placing priority on residents & the pupils, parents & staff of Smithy Bridge Primary School.
The Order will be operative from 08:30 until 09:30 and then from 14:45 until 15:45 on the 30th June 2026.
There is no alternative route for vehicles.
(NORMAN ROAD, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Norman Road from a point 34 metres north east of its junction with Briar Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction.
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Norman Road from a point 34 metres north east of its junction with Briar Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate the repair of a waste water manhole cover in the within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 19:00 hours on the 9th July 2026 until 22:00 hours on the 9th July 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Norman Road, Sparth Bottoms Road, Manchester Road- Old Section, Manchester Road, Dane Street & vice versa.
