Bridgwater - Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Openreach Cabling Works

Somerset Council Various Roads, Bridgwater in the Parish of Bridgwater (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that on the 19th day of June 2026 Somerset Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 9th day of June 2026, to introduce temporary traffic restrictions on the roads specified in the Schedules below. This Order will come into operation on the 23rd day of June 2026 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are expected to commence on the 29th day of June 2026 until the 2nd day of July 2026 (between 2100 hours and 0600 hours) to enable Openreach to complete cabling works. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs. Exemptions are provided in the Order for emergency vehicles. Statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
