What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 - Temporary Closure Of Part Of The A144 Halesworth Road, Venhaston With Mells Hamlet
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A144 Halesworth Road, Venhaston with Mells Hamlet at the level crossing for 20 metres eastbound and 20 metres westbound to facilitate level crossing testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A145, the A146, the A143, the A144 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11:59pm on 24/06/2026 – 5:00am on 25/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C546 Great Green And U4916 Orchard Lane, Thurston
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
1. C546 Great Green, Thurston from the junction with Orchard Close to the Junction with Gypsies Lane.

2. U4916 Orchard Lane, Thurston from the junction with Great Green to the junction with Pakenham Road.

This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:
1. Great Green, Road from A1088 to Thurston, Ixworth Road Norton, Ixworth Road Stowlangtoft, Bull Road Stowlangtoft, Bull Road Pakenham, Fen Road, Church Hill Pakenham, Church Hill Thurston, Pakenham Road, Norton Road and vice versa.
2. Norton Road, Pakenham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:
1. 24/06/2026 - 16/07/2026
2. 17/07/2026 - 06/08/2026.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U4909 Pepper Lane, Thurston
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4909 Pepper Lane, Thurston from the junction with Beyton Road to the entrance to Lyons House to facilitate the installation of fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Pepper Lane, Church Road, The Planche, Beyton Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/06/2026 - 02/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C477 Ipswich Road, Debenham from number 28 for 140 metres westbound to facilitate tree cutting around overhead wires. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Ipswich Road, Debenham Road, Winston, Pettaugh Road, Debenham Road, Pettaugh, Debenham Way, the A1120, the B1077 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/06/2026 - 25/06/2026 from 9:00am - 2:30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U3330 Meeting Lane, Grundisburgh
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3330 Meeting Lane, Grundisburgh from the junction with Pipes Close to the junction with Half Moon Lane to facilitate stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Woodbridge Road, The Green, The Street, Rose Hill, Ipswich Road, Park Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/06/2026 - 25/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U2110 Victoria Mill Road, Framlingham
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2110 Victoria Mill Road, Framlingham from 120 metres southwest of The Poppies to number 60 to facilitate pole replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1116, Brook Lane, Aspey Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/06/2026 - 26/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure And Suspension Of One-Way Traffic On Part Of The U2522 Church Street And Castle Street, Framlingham
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2522 Church Street, Framlingham from number 2 to number 4 to facilitate blockage clearing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Church Street, Castle Street, Fore Street, Albert Place, Riverside, Bridge Street, Market Hill and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure, there will be a suspension of the one-way provision on the following roads:
- U2522 Castle Street, Framlingham from Church Street to the B1119
- U2522 Church Street, Framlingham from Market Hill to Castle Street

It is intended that these measures will operate from 24/06/2026 - 26/06/2026 from 9:30am – 3:30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4908 The Planche, Thurston from Thurston Church to the junction with Church Road to facilitate fibre ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Hollow Lane, Norton Road, Tostock Road, Thurston Road, The Planche and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/07/2026 - 13/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
