Petherton Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Openreach Gully Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of North Petherton Temporary Closure of Petherton Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Petherton Road - from the junction with Church Road to the junction with Cherry Tree Close. A total distance of 265 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out gully works and access a joint box.
The Order becomes effective on 7th July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 15th July 2026 and last until 15th July 2026 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
