What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(LANGRICKGATE LANE AND GREEN LANE,
EAST COTTINGWITH)
(30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026

1.East Riding of Yorkshire Council proposes to make a
Road Traffic Regulation Order the effect of which will
be:
(a) To prohibit vehicles from proceeding at a speed
exceeding 30 mph on the following length of road:
Road Length of Road
Green Lane, From a point 311 metres west
East Cottingwith of the most southern junction
centre line of Redcap Lane
in a westerly direction for a
total distance of 88.5 metres.
Langrickgate Lane, From a point three metres
East Cottingwith east of the western kerb line
of Canal Lane, in an easterly
direction for a total distance
of 58 meters.
2.A copy of the draft Order, relevant plan and a
statement of the council’s reasons for proposing
to make the Order are available for inspection
at Pocklington Pocela Centre, Railway Street,
Pocklington, YO42 2QU. A copy of the street
notice and relevant plan have been placed on the
council’s website (East Riding of Yorkshire Council,
Traffic Management and Road Safety). Any enquiries
relating to these proposals may be made to Traffic &
Parking Services, Directorate of Prosperity & Place,
(Ref: TMN2508), Beverley Depot, Annie Reed Road,
Beverley, HU17 0LF telephone (01482) 393939 during
normal office hours.
3. Objections to the proposed Order, stating the
grounds for objection, should be emailed to

or sent in
writing to Traffic & Parking Services, Directorate of
Prosperity & Place (Ref:TMN2508), Beverley Depot,
Annie Reed Road, Beverley HU17 0LF by
15 July 2026.
