TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MANSFIELD FOOTPATH NO.16 CONTINUING AS SUTTON IN ASHFIELD FOOTPATH NO.73) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall: - Proceed on Foot,
in the following length of Footpath at Mansfield and Sutton in Ashfield in the Districts of Mansiield and Ashfield:-
Mansfield Footpath No.16 continuing as Sutton in Ashfield Footpath No.73, its entire length.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows: -
From 10th July 2026 until 9th January 2027 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route will be on roadside pavements of Brick Kiln Lane and Beck Lane.
The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required to enable approved housing development, and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath.
THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 24TH DAY OF june 2026.
