ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Adelaide Street

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 8 June 2026

Coming into force: 16 June 2026

This Order is being introduced because of low-voltage cabling works which are anticipated to be completed by 3 July 2026. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Adelaide Street from No.11 to the junction of Walton Street. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via Walton Street, St Bernard’s Road, Woodstock Road, Observatory Street and vice-versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

This Order is being introduced because of collapsed pipe sewer repairs which are anticipated to take until 9th July to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of New Inn Hall Street, outside Nos.22-24.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

This Order is being introduced because of road surface dressing works which are anticipated to take until 15/07/2026 to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in Clifford Place.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
