Critchmere Hill (D5598) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 19 June 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Critchmere Hill (D5598) Haslemere as extends from its junction with Critchmere Hill (D5598) to its junction with Hindhead Road (A287) as forming the southern arm of this junction.

Alternative route – Critchmere Lane, B2131 (Liphook Road) and A287 (Church Road and Hindhead Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate junction improvements and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences 6 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Compton Way (D5325) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 24 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Compton Way (D5325) Farnham. Alternative Route: Crooksbury Road, Camp Hill, (B3001) Waverley Lane, Moor Park Way, and Moor Park Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 weeks on a rolling closure, between the hours of 7am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Lion Lane (D5511) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

On 24 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Lion Lane (D5511) Haslemere as extends from its junction with (X83037) Polecat Valley to its junction with (D5512) Cherry Tree Avenue; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Lion Lane (D5511) Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025” and “The Surrey County Council Lion Lane (D5511) Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: Lion Lane; (B2131) Lion Green, (B2131) Junction Place, (B2131) Hindhead Road, (A287) Hindhead Road, and Lion Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of Connect It Utilities Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 7am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Old Lane (D120) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 24 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Old Lane (D120) Farnham as extends from its junction with (C26) The Street and for a distance of 300 Metres in a southerly direction along Old Lane. Alternative Route: The Street, High Thicket Road, and Old Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

D5345 Stockwood Way and D5345 Ayling Court, Upper Hale Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 24 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D5345 Ayling Court, Upper Hale and that length of D5345 Stockwood Way, Upper Hale that extends from its junction with D5345 Weywood Close, to its junction with D5345 Ayling Court. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach/Circet to carry out frame and cover replacement and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. There is no applicable alternative route however access for residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of the Act the effect of which will be to: (1) Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice and (2) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Aveley Lane (D5313) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” in its entirety. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 weeks, between the hours of 7am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Schedule

(a) that length of Aveley Lane (D5313) Farnham as extends from its junction with (A287) Frensham Road to its junction with (T11020) Aveley Lane to Shortheath Townpath. Alternative Route: Aveley Lane, Middle Bourne Lane, and (A287) Frensham Road, or this route in reverse.

(b) the entire length of Middle Bourne Lane (D5313) Farnham. Alternative Route: Aveley Lane, and (A287) Frensham Road, or this route in reverse.

(c) the entire length of Stream Valley Road (D5312) Lower Bourne. There is no alternative route for this closure.

Moor Park Way (D5325) and Old Compton Lane (D5325) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- 1. Moor Park Way (D5325) Farnham as extends from its junction with Old Compton Lane (D5325) to its junction with Moor Park Way (D5325) (as heads towards Compton Way); and 2. Old Compton Lane (D5325) Farnham as extends from its junction with Old Compton Lane (D5325) (as heads towards Lynch Road) to its junction with Waverley Lane (B3001).

Alternative route – Moor Park Way, B3001 (Waverley Lane) and Old Compton Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over multiple phases during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026 for 3 months between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

A287 Churt Road, Churt/Hindhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in that length of A287 Churt Road, Churt/Hindhead whichn extends from its junction with Tilford Road to its junction with Beacon Hill Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 9 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site. Alternative Route – D5502 Beacon Hill Road and C28 Tilford Road.
