Trimdon Village - Temporary Footpath Closure Due To New Electric Cable Works
What is happening?
The County Council of Durham (The Green and Landreth Grove, Trimdon Village) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026
The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of footpath. The Green: A 49 metre length approximately 7 metres from the side of Number 43 Front Street South extending eastwards to the footpath leading to Landreth Grove. Landreth Grove: A 102 metre length from the footpath leading To The Green extending southwards to the front of Number 27 Landreth Grove to enable new electric cable works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of the closure, any alternative diversion available will be signposted on site. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence from 8am on Monday 6/7/2026 and are anticipated to be completed in 8 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
