Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984
Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
WORSTEAD – U19136 Meeting Hill/Windmill Road from 40m east of its junction with U19020 Farm Road for 270m eastwards to facilitate pole testing works on 26th June 2026 (may continue until 4th August 2026).
Alternative route is via: Farm Road, A149 Yarmouth Road, Station Road, Meeting Hill Road. The works promoter is Openreach.

ASHWELLTHORPE AND FUNDENHALL – U76093 High Road from its junction with U76093 Marsh Lane for 180m south-westwards to facilitate pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 22nd June 2026 (may continue until 3rd August 2026). Alternative route is via: High Road, Blacksmiths Lane, Norwich Road, Top Row (Wreningham, Tharston and Hapton, Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall). The works promoter is BT.
DICKLEBURGH AND RUSHALL – C205 Harleston Road from its junction with U76142 Vaunces Lane for 100m westwards to facilitate stop tap replacement works from 23rd to 25th June 2026 (may continue until 6th August 2026). Alternative route is via: Harleston Road, Rectory Road, Norwich Road, Ipswich Road, Tivetshall Road, Tittletpot Road, Bank Street, The Green, Station Road, Pulham Road, The Street, Dickleburgh Road (Pulham Market, Dickleburgh and Rushall, Tivetshall, Pulham St. Mary). GARVESTONE, REYMERSTON AND THUXTON – U35032 The Street from 80m northwest of its junction with U35100 Post Office Lane for 30m north-westwards to facilitate water connection works from 24th to 26th June 2026 (may continue until 7th August 2026). Alternative route is via: U35032 The Street/Batemans Lane, C774 Hingham Road, C197 North Green/The Street and vice versa. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
GISSING – C348 New Road from its junction with C348 Upper Street for 130m eastwards to facilitate tree cutting works from 23rd to 25th June 2026 (may continue until 6th August 2026). Alternative route is via: New Road, Lower Street, Rectory Road, Long Row, Common Road, Upper Street. The works promoter is Connect.
LITCHAM – U35112 Weasenham Road from 710m northwest of its junction with C762 Wellingham Road for 40m north-westwards to facilitate concrete headwall installation works from 22nd to 24th June 2026 (may continue until 5th August 2026). Alternative route is via: U35112 Weasenham Road, C762 Wellingham Road, C235 Heath Lane and vice versa (Wellingham, Litcham). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
LITTLE ELLINGHAM – U33140 Wood Lane from its junction with C777 Attleborough Lane to its junction with U33137 Anchor Corner to facilitate carriageway patching works from 22nd to 24th June 2026 (may continue until 5th August 2026). Alternative route is via: C777 Attleborough Road, U33141 Church Road/The Green/Barrack Row, U33041 Rockland Lane, U33137 Goose Common/Anchor Corner and vice versa. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
MATTISHALL – C211 Mill Road from 132m north of its junction with U35245 Robert Key Drive for 120m northwards to facilitate overhead fibre installation works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 26th June 2026 (may continue until 7th August 2026). Alternative route is via: C211 Mill Road, C200 Dereham Road, C211A Stone Road/Mattishall Road, C888 Norwich Road/Etling Green, C489 Main Road, C211 West End and vice versa (Mattishall, North Tuddenham, Dereham). NECTON – C117 Dunham Road from 1000m north of its junction with the A47 for 300m northwards to facilitate pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:00 on 24th June 2026 (may continue until 5th August 2026). Alternative route is via: C117 Dunham Road, A47, C240 Station Road/Beeston Road, C123 Station Road, C117 Necton Road and vice versa (Little Dunham, Fransham, Great Dunham, Necton). PULHAM MARKET – U76248 Julians Way from its junction with C877 Tattlepot Road for 68m eastwards to facilitate HRA and routine kerb works from 23rd to 24th June 2026 (may continue until 5th August 2026). Alternative route is via: Tattlepot Road, Julians Way. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
SEETHING – U76389 Seething Street from its junction with U76392 Biggotts Lane for 870m northwards to facilitate fibre network installation works from 22nd June to 12th July 2026 (may continue until 23rd August 2026). Alternative route is via: Loddon Road, Thwaite Road, Bungay Road, Toad Lane, Upgate Road (Mundham, Ditchingham, Thwaite, Seething, Hedenham). The works promoter is CityFibre Holdings.
STARSTON –
A) C201 Hardwick Road from 50m north of its junction with C357 Lonely Road to its junction with C357 Clintergate Road and
B) C357 Lonely Road from its junction with C201 Hardwick Road for 190m westwards
to facilitate carriageway repair works from 22nd to 23rd June 2026 (may continue until 4th August 2026).
Alternative route is via:
A) Hardwick Road, Clintergate Road, Burntoak Lane, Mill Road, Broad Road, Barnondole Lane, Room Lane, Shelton Green, Alburgh Road, Low Road, Common Road, Port Road, Starston Road, Hardwick Road.

SURLINGHAM AND BRAMERTON – C195 Bramerton Road/Surlingham Lane from its junction with U78112 Cross Lane to its junction with U78109 Mill Hill to facilitate drainage and verge works from 25th to 26th June 2026 (may continue until 7th August 2026).

WORTWELL AND REDENHALL WITH HARLESTON – U76060 Burntoak Lane from 330m south of its junction with Low Ditch Road for 40m southwards to facilitate culvert headwall repair works on 26th June 2026 (may continue until 7th August 2026).

MIDDLETON – C55 Wormegay Road from 244m south of its junction with C822 Mill Drove for 456m southwards to facilitate patching works from 22nd to 24th June 2026 (may continue until 5th August 2026).

WALPOLE CROSS KEYS, WALPOLE, TERRINGTON ST CLEMENT, TILNEY ALL SAINTS AND KING’S LYNN – A17 Walpole Cross Keys Bypass from its junction with C80 Sutton Road to its junction with A17 Pullover Roundabout to facilitate surface dressing works from 22nd June to 19th July 2026 (may continue until 19th January 2027).
Alternative route is via: Clenchwarton Road, Main Road, Lynn Road, Sutton Road, Grange Road (Clenchwarton, Walpole Cross Keys, Sutton Bridge, Walpole, Terrington St. Clement, Tilney All Saints, King’s Lynn).

NB: These works will take place in phases:
- Phase 1: between 19:00 and 05:00 from 22nd to 27th June 2026.
- Phase 2: between 19:00 and 05:00 from 29th June to 5th July 2026.

WALPOLE HIGHWAY – U21037 West Drove South from its junction with U21037 West Drove Link Road for 80m south-eastwards to facilitate duct laying works from 22nd to 24th June 2026 (may continue until 5th August 2026).

WEST WINCH – C57 St Germans Road from 950m west of its junction with A10 Lynn Road for 20m westwards to facilitate overhead lines and pole replacement works between 09:00 and 12:30 on 26th June 2026 (may continue until 7th August 2026).
Alternative route is via: St Germans Road, Lynn Road, Watlington Road, Church Road, School Road, Station Road, Fitton Road, Mill Road (Watlington, Wiggenhall St. Germans, Wiggenhall St. Mary Magdalen, West Winch, Wormegay, Tottenhill).

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by traffic of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath.
Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice.
If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of:
- 18 months for roads, or
- 6 months for footpaths, cycle tracks, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
