(Public Rights of way, Footpath Number 76, Crook Footbridge, Hunwick) (Temporary Public Footpath/Footbridge Closure) Order 2024

The above-named Order made by the Council on 20/12/2024, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 26/6/2024 and subsequently extended has been continued in force, as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 26/06/2027 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on the following length of footpath. A 830 metre length of Footpath Number 76 Crook Parish, that crosses the Hunwick Footbridge between its junctions with Footpath 75 and Bridleway 79 in the south and Footpath 86 in the north, Hunwick to enable remedial works owing to an unsafe footbridge to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to pedestrian traffic from the southern side of the closure, from Footpath 76 north easterly and easterly on Footpath 75, to the junction with Footpath 76, near Farnley Farm/Meadow End leading south westerly to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa.
