THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BEESTON FOOTPATH NO.130, LONGLANE CROSSING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall:-
(a) proceed on foot, in the following footpath at Beeston in the Borough of Broxtowe: -
Beeston Footpath No.130 over Long Lane footpath Level Crossing.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-
From Sunday, 5th July 2026 between 0:15hrs to08:15hrs inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there will be no alternative route.
The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out or in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required to enable essential railway inspection works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath.
THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN
SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 24TH DAY OF JUNE 2026.
