What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (BRIDLEWAY 134, BRIDLEWAY 135 AND FOOTPATH 76, CHEADLE AND GATLEY NO.2) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which introduced a Temporary Closure of Bridleway 134 CG, Bridleway 135 CG, and Footpath 76 CG, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said near the said footpath and bridleways. This Order is necessary to enable works for the ATF4 Ladybrook Valley scheme. It is estimated that the maximum duration of the works will be 6 months. The following diversion will be provided; Approaching from the south side, make use of either Footpath 66 CG or Footpath 76 CG. Approaching from the north side, make use of either Footpath 66 CG or Tenement Lane/Footpath 74 CG, onto 51 HGB. This Order will come into operation on 30 June 2026 and will have effect for six months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
