(PARISH OF BINSTED - PART OF FOOTPATH NO.37)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2026
The above-named Order, made on 27 May 2026 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert part of the above-mentioned public footpath from its current alignment which commences at a point approximately 15 metres from the access road to River Hill Farm and proceeds in a north-easterly direction between a building and a storage yard to SU 7886 4118.
The proposed diversion route will commence at the previously described junction with the access road to River Hill Farm, proceeding in a north-westerly direction to SU 7884 4112, continuing north-eastwards along the edge of a paddock to SU 7886 4118.
A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ and at the offices of East Hampshire District Council, Monterey House, Bedford Rd, Petersfield GU32 3LJ; or online at www.hants.gov.uk/publicnotices. Copies of the Order and the map can be provided on request.
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Head of Countryside Access, Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ or via e-mail to row.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference:- PPO 5238 no later than 31 July 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
The personal data you provide in any representation will be treated in accordance with Data Protection Legislation, and may be published in a decision report, be disclosed to other interested parties, including the landowner (or their representatives). It may also be made public if the matter is referred to the Planning Inspectorate. Your data will be retained for a maximum period of 3 years from the date that the application is resolved. The legal basis for our use of this information is the compliance with a legal obligation – Highways Act 1980.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Hampshire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
