TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council made the above Order on 23rd June 2026 under Sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The Order, which will come into effect on 23rd June 2026, will have the effect of prohibiting any vehicle waiting at any time along lengths of road specified in the Schedule below.
The Order, together with a map showing the affected roads, may be examined at the Stockton Customer Service Centre, Central Library, The Square, Stockton-on-Tees during normal office hours and on the Council’s website ( Traffic Orders). If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any Instrument made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the 12th June 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
The Schedule
Blandford Close (Both Sides) – From its junction with Beaconsfield Road for a distance of approximately 18 metres in a south easterly direction.
Beaconsfield Road, Norton (South Side) - From its junction with Blandford Close for a distance of 21 metres in an easterly direction.
Beaconsfield Road, Norton (South Side) - From its junction with Blandford Close for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
