GORCHYMYN CEFNFFORDD YR A458 (BROAD STREET A HIGH STREET, Y TRALLWNG, POWYS) (GWAHARDD CERBYDAU DROS DRO) 2026

MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU wedi gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 16A o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984. Mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn cynnal yr orymdaith ar gyfer digwyddiad Carnifal y Trallwng ar gefnffordd yr A458, neu gerllaw iddi, yn y Trallwng, Powys.

THE A458 TRUNK ROAD (BROAD STREET & HIGH STREET, WELSHPOOL, POWYS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

THE WELSH MINISTERS have made an Order under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to hold the procession for the Welshpool Carnival on or near the A458 trunk road at Welshpool, Powys.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles, other than those being used by the emergency services or for the event, from proceeding on the length of the A458 trunk road known as Broad Street and High Street that extends from its junction with The Cross to the southern tip of the splitter island at its junction with Jehu Road.

Access will be maintained to properties on New Street and Park Lane and such access will be managed by the event organisers.

The alternative route for all other vehicles is via the southbound B4381 Severn Street and Severn Road to the Old Station Roundabout, northbound Smithfield Road, westbound Mill Lane to the A458 junction at Church Street, westbound B4381 Brook Street to Raven Roundabout and eastbound A458 Raven Street and Mount Street to the Jehu Road junction.

The Order comes into force on 27 June 2026 and has a maximum duration of 1 day. The temporary prohibition is expected to operate from 11:00 – 12:30 hours on that date.
