U48M – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (U48M Tough – 25.06.26) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The order will operate from 25.06.26 for 7 days and will prohibit any person from driving on the U48m Tough from the Junction with the U49m to the C43 m. Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety due to new duct and cabling work. An alternative route is available via the U49m, C43m and vice versa.
