What is happening?

Notice of Intention

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U75420 Hawthorn Rise, Temporary Road Closure Order 2026, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U75420 Hawthorn Rise, from the junciton with the B4348 to outside No2. Grid Ret 334699/238358 to 334728/238384.

There is no alternate route for those affected by this proposal, access for residents will be maintained.

The said closure is required due to ducting and HV power cable works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 24th of June 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) with an initial planned closure of 3 days, followed by a second planned closure of up to 2 weeks from 14th August 2026.
