HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") yn Bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:  

1.     Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 4ydd Gorffennaf 2026 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith yn cael ei gwblhau rhwng 4ydd Gorffennaf 2026 a’r 5ed Gorffennaf  2026.  

2.     Mae'r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol i Dŵr Cymru wneud gwaith mewn modd diogel yn y lleoliad.  Bydd mynediad rhesymol yn cael ei gynnal ar gyfer eiddo sydd ar hyd y ffyrdd a effeithir arnynt tra y bydd yr heol ar gau.      

3.     Effaith y Gorchymyn fydd cau dros dro ran o Stryd Green, Cas-gwent, Sir Fynwy, ~35m o'r gyffordd â Rhodfa Hardwick am ~35m.  

4.     Ni fydd llwybr dargyfeirio oherwydd nad yw'r ffordd yn llwybr trwodd -  bydd mynediad/allanfa ar y safle ond dylai modurwyr ddisgwyl oedi.

5.     Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dros Dro Stryd Green, Cas-gwent, Sir Fynwy 2026.  

6.     Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

SECTION 14 - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

COUNCIL (GREEN STREET, CHEPSTOW, MONMOUTHSHIRE)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2026  

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Intends to make an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984  

1.     The Order shall come into operation on the 4th July 2026 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between 4th July 2026 and 5th July 2026,  

2.     The order is necessary for Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water works to take place in a safe manner at the location. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.  

3.     The effect of the order will be to temporarily close a section of Green Street, Chepstow, Monmouthshire , ~35m from its junction with Hardwick Avenue for ~35m.  

4.     There will be no signed diversion route in place due to the road being a no-through route, access/egress will be maintained on site but motorists should expect small delays.  

5.     This order may be cited as the Green Street, Chepstow, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026  

6.     By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
