TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (SHREWSBURY STREET) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14(1)(a), and all other enabling powers, prohibiting motor vehicles from proceeding or waiting in the road cited below.
Shrewsbury Street is to be closed from the junction with Dalgarno Way to the rear of No. 1 Shrewsbury Street.
The road closure is required to facilitate utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00 hours on Monday 6th July 2026 until 16.00 hours on Tuesday 7th July 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Diverted traffic will be signed via Dalgarno Way, Shrewsbury Street and Hillman Drive, and vice versa.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform;
• anything done in connection with the execution of the said works.
