Blackburn Street, Chiffon Way And Brocade Close - Prohibition Of Waiting And Restriction Of Waiting
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford has made the CITY OF SALFORD (BLACKBURN STREET, CHIFFON WAY AND BROCADE CLOSE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be:
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME: Blackburn Street: west Side from the southern extended kerbline of Chiffon Way, for a distance of 39.6m in a northerly direction.
Brocade Close: (i) Southwest side from its junction with the north-westerly extended kerbline of Silk Street for a distance of 26.2 metres in a north westerly direction, (ii) Northeast side from its junction with the north-westerly extended kerbline of Silk Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction.
NO WAITING MONDAY TO FRIDAY 10AM - 4PM: Chiffon Way: (i) north-west side from a point 10 metres east of the easterly extended kerbline of Blackburn Street, for a distance of 66.9m in a north-easterly direction, (ii) south-east side from a point 10 metres east of the easterly extended kerbline of Blackburn Street, to a point 10 metres west of the westerly extended kerbline of Calico Close, (iii) south-east side from a point 10 metres east of the easterly extended kerbline of Calico Close, for a distance of 23.9 metres in a north-easterly direction.
Brocade Close: south-west side from a point 26.2 metres north-west of the northerly extended kerbline of Silk Street, for a distance of 32.1 metres in a northerly direction.
The Order was made on 16th June 2026 and will come into effect on the 29th June 2026. A copy of the Order and plan are available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 16th June 2026 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
