NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP PART OF A HIGHWAY SECTION 116 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

NOTICE is given that application will be made by East Riding of Yorkshire Council to the Magistrates Court sitting at Beverley Magistrates’ Court, Champney Road, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire at 10am on 19 August 2026 for an Order:

(a) to stop up the part of Great Gutter Lane West, Kirk Ella in the East Riding of Yorkshire the situation of which is shown edged and hatched in red on the map attached to the Order and numbered SU053-001 (“the Map”) subject to the reservation of a bridleway; and (b) to stop up all public rights in respect of the part of Great Gutter Lane West, Kirk Ella in the East Riding of Yorkshire the situation of which is shown edged and cross hatched red on the Map; on the grounds that the rights are unnecessary.

The effect of the said Order is shown on the Map which may be inspected free of charge at Beverley Customer Service Centre, Champney Road, Beverley, HU17 8HE and Haltemprice Customer Service Centre, East Riding Leisure Haltemprice, 120 Springfield Way, Anlaby, HU10 6QJ during normal office hours Monday to Friday.
