VARIOUS RESTRICTIONS NOTICE 2026

NOTICE: is hereby given that on 17th June 2026 The Council of the City and County of Swansea made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers. The order will be effective from 29th June 2026, as set out in the schedules below. A copy of the order and plan may be inspected during office hours at Y Storfa, 277-278 Oxford St, Swansea SA1 3EL.

Alternatively the documents can be viewed online at https://www.swansea.gov.uk/permanenttro. Any person wishing to challenge the validity of the order or procedures used in making this order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date the order was made.

SCHEDULES

SCHEDULE 1
REVOCATIONS
The existing Orders are revoked insofar as they are inconsistent with the proposals hereinafter contained which relate to the length or lengths of the road or roads referred to in the schedules hereto.

SCHEDULE 2
CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE - PROHIBITION OF WAITING, NO LOADING / UNLOADING AT ANY TIME.
(Extension of Existing Controlled Zone)
PICTON LANE (between 22/ 23 Union Street and 64/ 65 The Kingsway)
Eastern Side
From its junction with the southern kerbline of the Kingsway for a distance of 47 metres in a southerly direction.

Western Side
From its junction with the southern kerbline of the Kingsway for a distance of 25 metres in a southerly direction, then 7 metres in a south westerly direction.
From a point 47 metres south of the southern kerbline of the Kingsway for a distance of 12 metres in a northerly direction, then 3 metres in a north westerly direction.

SCHEDULE 3
PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLING ZONE - PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES EXCEPT
FOR LOADING 7AM - 11AM. PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME, NO LOADING / UNLOADING MIDNIGHT - 7AM AND 11AM - MIDNIGHT
PICTON LANE (between 71/ 72 The Kingsway and 79/ 80 The Kingsway)
From its junction with the southern kerbline of The Kingsway in a southerly then north easterly direction, for a distance of 165 metres.

SCHEDULE 4
ONE WAY VEHICULAR FLOW
PICTON LANE (between 71/ 72 The Kingsway and 79/ 80 The Kingsway)
From its junction with the southern kerbline of The Kingsway in a southerly then north easterly direction, for a distance of 165 metres. 

SCHEDULE 5
POINT OF NO ENTRY (for vehicles travelling westbound)

At a point 25 metres south then 7 metres south west of the northernmost point of the boundary of 64 The Kingsway

PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN
