Temporary Road Closure

Amyand Park Road, Twickenham.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate remedial works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Amyand Park Road, Twickenham.

  2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Amyand Park Road, Twickenham from the junction with Greville Close to outside number 155 Amyand Park Road.

  3. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Amyand Park Road, Beaconsfield Road, Crown Road, Richmond Road, and Stratford Road.

  4. The order will come into effect 26 June 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress on 26 June 2026 only, the order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (SPECIAL EVENTS) (CLEAN AIR DAY) (NO.1) ORDER 2026

(Reference 26/102)

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on the 16 June 2026 made the above Order under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of this Order is to facilitate the holding of a street party in various streets for clean air day to allow residents to celebrate within their communities.

  3. The street which will be closed is listed in the Schedule to this notice. Full details of the lengths of street which will be closed and times when the closures will be in force will be contained in the order referred to in the next paragraph.

  4. Copies of the Order:-

    (a) can be inspected until 31 December 2026, quoting Reference 26/102 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices.  

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate remedial works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Cleveland Gardens, Barnes.

  2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Cleveland Gardens, Barnes outside numbers 46 to 50.

  3. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Cleveland Road, Grove Road, Terrace Gardens and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect 23 June 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 23 June to 26 June 2026, the order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate crane operation works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in George Street and Red Lion Street, Richmond.

  2. Whilst the work takes place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in:

    Red Lion Street, Richmond from the junction with Lewis Street to the junction with Church Terrace. Night works only from 19.00–0500. Closure dates / crane operational dates 23 to 25 June 2026 with back up dates 30 June to 02 July, and 07 July to 09 July 2026.

    George Street, Richmond from the junction with King Street to the junction with Sheen Road. Closure dates / crane operational dates 25 June to 26 June with back up dates 02 July to 03 July & 09 July to 10 July 2026.

    The bus lane in Paradise Road will be suspended from the junction with Halford Road and Church Terrace.

    Bays will be suspended as and where necessary as indicated by signs.

  3. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via:

    Red Lion Street – Church Terrace, Wakefield Road, Lewis Road and vice versa.

    George Streetbound Local Traffic Diversion Route – King Street, The Green, Portland Terrace, Little Green, Parkshot, & Clarence Street. Additional Diversion Duke Street & Quadrant Road.

  4. The order will come into effect 23 June 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress between 23 June 2026 to 10 July 2026, the order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
