(VARIOUS ROADS, GEDLING)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026 (G26-107)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Gedling in the Borough of Gedling
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Main Road, Gedling - From its junction with Shearing Hill to its junction with Arnold Lane
b. Shearing Hill, Gedling - From its junction with Burton Road to its junction with Main Road
c. Arnold Lane, Gedling - From its junction with Main Road to its junction with A6211 Colliery Way
d. Freda Avenue, Gedling - For its entirety
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road at Gedling in the Borough of Gedling :-
a. Main Road, Gedling - (Both sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with Shearing Hill to its junction with Arnold Lane
b. Shearing Hill, Gedling - (Both sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with Burton Road to its junction with Main Road
c. Arnold Lane, Gedling - (Both sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with Main Road to its junction with A6211 Colliery Way
d. Freda Avenue, Gedling - (Both sides) (At Any Time)- For its entirety
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01 hours, Monday 6th July 2026
Until 23:59 hours, Saturday 1st August 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

The Order will come into force on Monday 6th July 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable C3 Construction to carry out works to complete S278 construction works;
