What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Bollands Hill (Part), Seend; from its junction with A361 to its junction with Pelch Lane.

B) Pelch Lane (Part), Seend; from its junction with Bollands Hill for a distance of approximately 320m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out water mains replacement and other associated works. Alternative route A via Bollands Hill (unaffected length) – A365 – A361 and vice versa. Alternative route B via Pelch Lane (unaffected length) – C226 – A361 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 July 2026 and the closure will be required until 18 September 2026. C) B4069 (Part), Langley Burrell Without and Kington Langley; from its junction with C181 for a distance of approximately 331m in a north easterly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out permanent reinstatement of carriageway and associated works. Alternative route via B4069 (unaffected length) – B4122 – A350 – Kilverts Way – B4069 (unaffected length) and vice versa. D) C189 (Part), Aldbourne; from a point approximately 210m west of its property known as West Leaze for a distance of approximately 1700m in a westerly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out to provide a safe working area for engineers to excavate and provide new ducting in verge to provide service to customer. Alternative route via C189 (unaffected length) – C191 – C190 – C189 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 3 days. E) St Marys Place, Chippenham; from its junction with Monkton Hill to its junction with New Road to enable Openreach to carry out service provider works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 13 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. F) Hollow Street (Part), Great Somerford; from its junction with Riverside Park to its junction with C66 to enable Openreach to carry out customer cabling work and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 13 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. G) C193 (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction with C6 for a distance of approximately 56m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out communication equipment upgrades and associated works. Alternative route via C193 (unaffected length) – C190 – C6 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 June 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. H) C99 (Part), Minety; from its junction with Ashton Road for a distance of approximately 250m in a southerly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out tree removal works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 22 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 for 2 nights. I) A3102 (Part), Calne; from its junction with Oxford Road for a distance of approximately 190m in a south westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 24 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 10 July 2026. J) C120 (Part), Tockenham; from a point approximately 400m north of its junction with C131 for a distance of approximately 110m in a north westerly direction to enable Thames Water Utilities to carry out sluice valve box replacement works and other associated works. Alternative route via C120 (unaffected length) – A3102 – C131 – C120 (unaffected length) and vice versa. K) C151 (Part), Castle Combe; from its junction with Dunns Lane for a distance of approximately 98m in an easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out frame and cover repair works and other associated works. Alternative route via C151 (unaffected length) – B4039 – Dunns Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 June 2026 and the closure will be required for 2 days. L) Mill Street, Calne; from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Anchor Road.

M) Anchor Road (Part), Calne; from its junction with Mill Street to its junction with The Glebe to enable Openreach Limited to carry out cabling works for a new connection and other associated works. Alternative route via Anchor Road (unaffected length) – Brewers Lane – Shelburne Road – London Road – New Road – The Strand – Church Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. N) C138 (Part), Cherhill; from its property known as No.4 Marsh Lane for a distance of approximately 150m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out pole replacement work and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 23 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 14:00 for 3 days. O) C16 (Part), Purton; from outside its property known as No.16 The Willows for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out traffic calming work including kerbing, minor drainage, footway works and other associated works. P) Queen Street (Part), Purton; from its property known as No.32 Queen Street for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out chamber and cover repairs and other associated works. Alternative route via Queen Street (unaffected length) – C76 – C67 – Queen Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 02 March 2026 will now recommence on 22 June 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. Q) Park Road (Part), Malmesbury; from its junction with Park Close for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction to enable Filmacore to carry out construction of site access, carriageway widening, new footway construction and associated utility connections for site. Alternative route via Park Road (unaffected length) – Old Alexander Road – Parklands – Sherston Road – Park Lane – Park Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 25 August 2025 will now recommence on 22 June 2026 and the closure will be required until 19 July 2026. R) C94 (Part), Luckington and Alderton; from its junction with C84 for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out duct laying, blockage clearance and other associated works. Alternative route via C94 (unaffected length) – C71 – B4040 – C84 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 24 February 2026 will now recommence on 22 June 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. S) B4040 (Part), Malmesbury; from its junction with High Street to its junction with Bristol Street to enable Openreach to carry out pole installation works and other associated works. Alternative route via Gloucester Road – Tetbury Hill – B4014 – Crudwell Road – Whychurch Roundabout – Whitchurch Hill – Holloway – Cross Hayes Lane – St Dennis Road – High Street – Oxford Street and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 15 March 2026 will now recommence on 21 June 2026 and the closure will be required for 1 day. Orders A) to O) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Orders P) to S) has a maximum duration of 18 months.

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:

Phase 1: A4 (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with C65 to its junction with Webbington Lane.

Phase 2: A4 (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Canal Road to its junction with Lodge Road.

Phase 2a: King Henry Drive (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with A4 for a distance of approximately 33m in a north westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works and other associated works. Alternative route phase 1/2 via A4 (unaffected length) – A342 – A3102 – Sandridge Common – Eastern Way – Spa Road – Western Way – A350 – Hampton Park West – Semington Road – A350 – Bath Road – Rowden Hill – Bath Road – Bridge Roundabout – Avenue La Fleche – A4 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

No alternative route for phase 2a. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order will come into operation on 23 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 4 nights. Please note only one phase of works will be in effect at any given time. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

SECTION 16A OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all vehicular traffic:

High Street (Part), Chippenham; from a point level with the traffic gate barrier to its junction with Market Place.

These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and competitors whilst enabling the Chippenham “Longest Day 10K” Event to take place.

This Order will come into operation on Wednesday 24th June 2026 with the exception of vehicles officially involved in the marathon, vehicles being used for ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or with permission being given by a Police Constable in uniform or a Community Safety (CSAS) accredited marshal.

The closure is anticipated to commence at 19.30 and finish at 21.30.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users:

Footpath 55 (Part), St Paul Malmesbury Without; from its junction with Grange Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a westerly direction to enable temporary construction compound to provide storage and welfare facilities for essential works at Hodbourne Water Treatment Centre (WTC) to the north to resolve historic issues with turbidity which have resulted in water supply outages.

Alternative route via diversion as sign posted and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order which was due to expire on 23 June 2026 will now continue in force until 23 June 2027 or until completion of the works, whichever is earlier.

The Order will have a maximum duration of 12 months.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (A3102 CALNE BYPASS AND STANIER ROAD, CALNE) (PROHIBITION OF U-TURN) ORDER 2026

(previously advertised as 2025)

Notice is hereby given that on 10 June 2026 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of U-turn on the following lengths of road:

A3102 Calne Bypass – prohibiting vehicles making a U-turn from the eastbound carriageway to the westbound carriageway – at its junction with Stanier Road;

Stanier Road – prohibiting vehicles making a U-turn from the northbound carriageway to the southbound carriageway – at its junction with A3102 Calne Bypass.

A copy of the Order and plan may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours.

Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

The Order will come into operation on 22 June 2026.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 119 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 SECTION 53 WILTSHIRE COUNCIL THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL PARISH OF WOODBOROUGH PATH 8 (PART) DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2026

On 8 June 2026, Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed will divert Footpath Woodborough 8 (part) situated at Old Station House, Woodborough. That entire width and length of Woodborough 8 shown leading from OSGR SU 1078-5993, in a broadly south westerly direction for approximately 34m to road C.38, at OSGR SU 1075-5991, to a new route at OSGR SU 1078-5993 in a broadly northerly, then westerly, then southerly direction for approximately 62m to road C.38, at OSGR SU 1075-5991, the path having a width of 2m.

And thereupon the Pewsey Rural District Council Area Definitive Map dated 1952 shall be modified accordingly.

Notice is hereby given that the terms of Article 1 in the above order have been satisfied and that both Articles 1 and 2 have come into force.
