What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(HOLME ROAD & TRENT BOULEVARD, WEST BRIDGFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026 (R26-120)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at West Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

a. Holme Road, West Bridgford - From its junction with Radcliffe Road for a distance of 50 metres in a northeasterly direction

b. Trent Boulevard, West Bridgford - From its junction with Holme Road for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road at West Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe:-

a. Holme Road, West Bridgford - (Both Sides) (At Any Time)- From its junction with Radcliffe Road to its junction with Melbourne Road

b. Trent Boulvard, West Bridgford - (Both Sides)(At Any Time) -From its junction with Holme Road to its junction with Melbourne Road

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From Monday 6th July 2026
Until Friday 15th August 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Radcliffe Road - Rutland Road - Trent Boulevard - Woodland Road and Vice versa

The Order will come into force on 6th July 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out junction, cycle track and footway works
