Zebra, Pelican and Puffin Pedestrian Crossings Regulations and General Direction 1997 NOTICE is hereby given that Council of the City of Manchester, in exercise of its powers under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, proposes to construct Sparrow Crossings (signal-controlled crossings for segregated use by pedestrians and cyclists) on Sale Road and Wythenshawe Road.
Sparrow Crossings on:
Sale Road
• 7.5m wide, 8.3m long, zigzags extending to 31m northwest and 23m southeast of the midpoint of the crossing which will be located 10m southeast of Rackhouse Road.
Wythenshawe Road
• 7.5m wide, 7m long, zigzags extending to 23m west and 23m east of the midpoint of the crossing which will be located 39m west of Orton Road.
• 9m wide, 6.2m long, zigzags extending to 24m west and 28m east of the midpoint of the crossing which will be located 12m west of Rackhouse Road.
