What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF TELFORD & WREKIN COUNCIL
(MAPPED PARKING PROHIBITIONS, RESTRICTIONS AND PROVISIONS)
(AMENDMENT NO.3) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

The Council gives notice that it proposes to make the following Traffic Order in Wellington Town Centre, the general effects being:
 Revoke the existing 24-hour pedestrian zone, enacted under The County Council of Shropshire (Various Streets, Wellington) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1986.
 Re-introduce the 24-hour pedestrian zone, except for loading by goods vehicles only on Weds and Fri, between 6am and 8am.
 The affected streets are Bell Street, Crown Street, Duke Street, Market Approach, Market Square (part), New Street, Tan Bank (part) and Walker Street (part).
Documents detailing the particulars of the whole of the proposed Order may be inspected at

or during normal opening hours at
Telford & Wrekin Council, Darby House, Lawn Central, TF3 4JA.
Objections to the proposal should be submitted before Thursday July 16 th 2026 on the website, via the QR code, or in writing
