THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS (SANDRINGHAM DRIVE, ST HELENS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, ORDER 2026)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 4th day of June, 2026, the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit a vehicle proceed in either direction along Sandringham Drive between Shordley Park Drive and Denbigh Avenue, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
The Order will come into force on Monday 20th July 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to take 15 days. The alternative route will be via Denbigh Avenue, New Street, Eaves Lane and vice versa.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate the replacement of a section of gas main.
