MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC000150857050. The City of Manchester (Wavell Road, Woodhouse Park Ward) (Temporary Suspension of One-Way Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to suspend the One-Way traffic restriction on Wavell Road rom its junction with Woodfield to its junction with Brownley Road. The City of Manchester (Wavell Road, Woodhouse Park Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Wavell Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Rowlandsway, Simonsway, Brownley Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this suspension is necessary in order to facilitate demolition works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 6th July 2026 to the 11th September 2026. The Order shall come into operation on the 6th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
