Tilty Grange Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Water Mains Repair Works

(Tilty Grange Road, Tilty) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tilty Grange Road, Tilty in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Dunmow Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th July 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410271768 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Maltings Bridge Lane, Muscombs Lane, Broxted Road, Duck Street, Dunmow Road and vice versa (with access only into Tilty Grange Road).
The Order will come into effect on 25th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
