Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (4), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the Order:
1. To Implement: ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Restrictions on the following lengths of road.

This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On – Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by substituting tiles: TQ720 897 Revision 1 to Revision 2 and TQ725 897 Revision 0 to Revision 1

(Dunton Road, Laindon/Little Burstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dunton Road, Laindon/Little Burstead in the Borough of Basildon, from the junction with Rectory Road for a distance of approximately 650m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th July 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WGTCF43SETHSB/BC008WGTCF43S01ETHSB – Openreach Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach Ltd.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Long Meadow Drive, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 70m north of the junction with Southend Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311001D133687 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Long Meadow Drive and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Long Meadow Drive, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 70m north of its junction with Southend Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a north westerly direction. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Manor Avenue, Pitsea in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 65m north of its junction with Crest Avenue for a distance of approximately 125m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2388996 – Essex County Council). (Mill Green Place, Pitsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Green Place, Pitsea in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Mill Green to its end a distance of approximately 65m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2404720 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Prince Edward Road, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Greens Farm Lane for a distance of approximately 250m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03768119040 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The Order will come into effect on 25th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Southend Road, Great Burstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Southend Road, Great Burstead in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Coxes Farm Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st July 2026 for 42 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20110298469 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footbridge refurbishment works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via A129, A176, A127, A132, A129, Southend Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 25th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Borough of Castle Point) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (SW1) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in the schedule.

The works (gas mains replacement) being undertaken will take place within an 18 month period from 25th June 2026; exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location, and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Castle Point, as specified in the schedule to this Order.
  2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

“The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only.
