(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2025
(SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2025 VARIATION ORDER 2026
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it proposes to make variation orders under Sections 1, 2, 82, 83 and 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the orders, if made, will be to vary the following orders as detailed below:
A. The North Tyneside (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) (Consolidation) Order 2025, so that:
1. the following Waiting Restrictions at any time on any day be introduced on sections of the following roads:
a) Broadway, Cullercoats on its east side, from a point 7 metres south of its junction with Links Road to a point 9 metres north of that junction.
b) Links Avenue, Cullercoats on both sides, from its junction with Broadway to a point 17 metres east of that junction.
c) North Parade, Whitley Bay on its east side, from a point 41 metres south of its junction with the unnamed road to the rear of North Parade/South Parade to a point 51 metres south of that junction.
d) North Road, North Shields on its west side from a point 4 metres south of its junction with Preston Terrace to a point 5 metres north of that junction.
e) Preston Terrace, North Shields on both sides, from its junction with North Road to a point 6 metres west of that junction.
f) Unnamed road linking High Street West and Border Road, Wallsend on its:
i. East side, from its junction with High Street West, to a point 18 metres south of that junction;
ii. West and north sides from its junction with High Street West in a southerly direction for a distance of 20 metres then a westerly direction for a distance of 12 metres.
2. no stopping between 8.15 - 9.15am and 3.00 - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday on the following lengths of road be revoked:
a) Addington Drive, Battle Hill (Hadrian Park Primary School) on its:
i. east side, from a point 16 metres north of its junction with Blackhill Avenue to a point 57 metres north of that junction;
ii. east side, from a point 27 metres south of its junction with Blackhill Avenue to a point 58 metres south of that junction;
iii. west side, from a point 40 metres north of its junction with Hadrian Wynd to a point 92 metres north of that junction;
iv. west side, from its junction with Hadrian Wynd to a point 21 metres south of that junction.
b) Hadrian Wynd, Wallsend (Hadrian Park Primary School) on its:
i. north side, from its junction with Addington Drive to a point 21 metres west of that junction;
ii. south side, from its junction with Addington Drive to a point 35 metres west of that junction.
3. the following No Stopping on School Entrance Markings between 8.15am - 9.15am and 2.30pm - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday be introduced on sections of the following roads:
a) Addington Drive, Battle Hill (Hadrian Park Primary School) on its:
i. east side, from a point 16 metres north of its junction with Blackhill Avenue to a point 57 metres north of that junction;
ii. east side, from a point 27 metres south of its junction with Blackhill Avenue to a point 58 metres south of that junction;
iii. west side, from a point 40 metres north of its junction with Hadrian Wynd to apoint 92 metres north of that junction;
iv. west side, from its junction with Hadrian Wynd to a point 21 metres south of that junction.
b) Hadrian Wynd, Wallsend (Hadrian Park Primary School) on its:
i. north side, from its junction with Addington Drive to a point 21 metres west ofthat junction;
ii. south side, from its junction with Addington Drive to a point 35 metres west of that junction.
B. The North Tyneside (Speed Limits) (Consolidation) Order 2025, so that:
1. a 20mph speed Limit Zone be introduced on the following roads;
a) Edgefield, West Allotment in its entirety.
b) Heathfield, West Allotment in its entirety.
2. a 40mph speed limit be introduced on Murton Lane, North Shields from a point 20 metres north of its junction with Brookland Terrace to a point 20 metres south of its junction with The Bridle, Murton Village.

If you wish to object to the proposals you should send the grounds for your objection in writing to the undersigned or via email to democraticsupport@northtyneside.gov.uk by 21 days after below.
Any objections received may be published as part of any reports to councillors on the matter.
