Temporary Traffic Management Order Of C12, Cerne Abbas

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 02 July 2026.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on C12, CERNE ABBAS, between Buck Hill and a point approximately 5030 metres north.

[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along C12, CERNE ABBAS, between Buck Hill and a point approximately 5030 metres north.

[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along C12, CERNE ABBAS, between Buck Hill and a point approximately 5030 metres north.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure Of Various Roads, Litton Cheney

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along VARIOUS ROADS, LITTON CHENEY:

LITTON LANE between its junction with Cox’s Lane and a point approximately 125 metres west.

C9 between its junction with Baglake and The Old Brewery, a distance of approximately 150 metres.

CHALK PIT LANE between its junction with Main Street and its junction with Litton Hill, a distance of approximately 120 metres.

MAIN STREET between its junction with School Lane and the entrance to Charity Farm, a distance of approximately 45 metres.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 22 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 July 2026.

This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to carry out sewer lining works.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Dorset Council has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

When the order comes into operation on 26th June 2026 the effect of the Order will be to formalise existing lengths of no waiting at any time along lengths of Hamm Beach Road, Portland.

Temporary Traffic Management Notice, A352 Forston

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 9 July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23 July 2026. Working times will be between the hours of 5am and 5pm, works will not take place at night or over the weekend.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.

The effect of the notice is to impose a temporary speed restriction of 10mph within the working area (as indicated by signs on site), at any point along A352 Forston between its junctions with Herrison Road and Frys Lane to facilitate the use of a convoy working vehicle.

Temporary Closure Of Weymouth Bay Avenue, Weymouth

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WEYMOUTH BAY AVENUE, WEYMOUTH between its junctions with Dorchester Road and Cleveland Avenue, a distance of approximately 110 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 6 July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 17 July 2026.

This Order will enable Scotia Gas Networks, safe access to carry out gas mains replacement.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Dorchester Road - Monmouth Avenue - Cleveland Avenue.

Temporary 30mph Speed Limit, Blandford Forum Bypass, Blandford Forum

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 1st July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the temporary 30mph speed limit will remain in force until 26th February 2027.

This Order will enable R&W Langley to impose a temporary 30mph speed limit to carry out S278 access and roundabout construction and associated works in collaboration with SGN to carry out gas works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[i] To impose a temporary 30mph speed limit upon Blandford Forum Bypass, Blandford Forum to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs between Hill Top Roundabout and Two Gates Roundabout (in both directions).

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along DURNGATE STREET, DORCHESTER between its junctions with Icen Way and Channons Court, a distance of approximately 45 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 22 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29 June 2026.

This Order will enable Wessex Water Services, safe access to carry out trial holes.

An alternative route will be signed using: Icen Way - B3150 - Salisbury Street.

All vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians & equine will be prohibited from proceeding along ST GEORGES ROAD CYCLEPATH, DORCHESTER for its entirety, a distance of approximately 120 metres.

The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 29 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 September 2026.

This Order will enable CG Fry & Son, safe access for installation of foul and surface water drainage as part of the new Four Paddocks Development.
