Temporary Traffic Management Order Of Bradford Lane, Longburton

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 24 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 08 July 2026. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface treatment works. The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on BRADFORD LANE, LONGBURTON, in its entirety.

[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along BRADFORD LANE, LONGBURTON, in its entirety.

[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along BRADFORD LANE, LONGBURTON, in its entirety.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Temporary Closure Of Various Roads In Woolland, Fifehead Neville & Ibberton DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various roads in the Parish of Wolland, between Chitcombe Farm Lane and Chitcombe Farm Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 495 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 29th June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13th July 2026. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works. The effect of the order is as follows:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Various Roads, Woolland, Fifehead Neville & Ibberton as listed: [i] Chitcombe Farm Lane, Woolland in its entirety; [ii] C98, Woolland & Fifehead Neville from junction with C100 and Kitford Lane; [iii] Leigh, Ibberton from junction with Marsh Lane, Ibberton to a point 310 metres to the north; [iv] Allotment Hill, Leigh, Ibberton from junction with Marsh Lane to junction with Ryalls Cross. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Dorset Council (Part of Footpath 6, East Orchard) Public Path Diversion Order 2026 On 22 May 2026 Dorset Council confirmed the above-named order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 as unopposed and the Council has certified that work has been carried out to bring the site of the new highway mentioned in article 3 of the order into a fit condition for use by the public. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert part of Footpath 6, East Orchard as shown on the order map as follows: From the existing path: From ST 83774 17766 at its junction with Church Lane, generally south south west to its junction with Footpath 7 at ST 8367 1747. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order will be to introduce a new 7.5 tonne maximum weight restriction along New Lane, Shaftesbury, from its junction with the A30 Salisbury Road to its junction with the B3081 Higher Blandford Road.
