DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 24 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 08 July 2026. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface treatment works. The effect of the Order is as follows:
[1] To impose a temporary road closure on BRADFORD LANE, LONGBURTON, in its entirety.
[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along BRADFORD LANE, LONGBURTON, in its entirety.
[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along BRADFORD LANE, LONGBURTON, in its entirety.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Temporary Closure Of Various Roads In Woolland, Fifehead Neville & Ibberton DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various roads in the Parish of Wolland, between Chitcombe Farm Lane and Chitcombe Farm Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 495 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 29th June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13th July 2026. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works. The effect of the order is as follows:

The order comes into force on 29 May 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 18 June 2026, make an application to the High Court. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order will be to introduce a new 7.5 tonne maximum weight restriction along New Lane, Shaftesbury, from its junction with the A30 Salisbury Road to its junction with the B3081 Higher Blandford Road.
