(Bartlow Road, Hadstock) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bartlow Road, Hadstock in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 375m south east then north east of its junction with Moules Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411NL002WG6F431C – Openreach Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach Limited.
An alternative route is available via Bartlow Road, B1052, A1307, Bartlow Road, Dean Road, Hadstock Road, Bartlow Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 25th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Debden Road, Saffron Walden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Debden Road, Saffron Walden in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 295m south east of its junction with Landscape View for a distance of approximately 25m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410271927 – Affinity Water Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while frame and cover installation works are undertaken by Affinity Water Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Water Lane, Elder Street, Thaxted Road, Peaslands Road, Mount Pleasant Road and vice versa (with access only into Debden Road, Pleasant Valley, Landscape View, Debden Road, Purton End and Walden Road).
The Order will come into effect on 25th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Howe Lane, Great Sampford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Howe Lane, Great Sampford in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 140m north west, north then north west of its junction with Calthrops Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th July 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30094725462 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation upgrade works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via B1055, B1053 and vice versa. (with access only into Howe Green, Church Road).
The Order will come into effect on 25th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
