ORDER 2026
On the 09th of June 2026 the Council made the above-named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Balgraystone Road, Newton Mearns between junction with Glanderston Road up to the bridge, in order to facilitate the essential carriageway resurfacing works scheduled to be carried out between 29th June to 10th July 2026.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative Route: Springfield Road – Aurs Road – Darnley Road – Parkhouse Road – Nitshill Road – Stewarton Road – Aurs Road – Stewarton Road – Glanderston Road and vice versa.
