TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD ORDER 2026
On the 12 June 2026The East Renfrewshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises to restrict vehicular access on a section of Springhill Road (from its junction with Gabbro Crescent southbound for a distance of approximately 270 metres or thereby), Barrhead, in order to facilitate the safe operation of Network Rail remedial works scheduled to be carried from 07:00 on Monday 10 August to 17:00 on Friday 21 August 2026.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: Springhill Road – Springfield Road – Aurs Road – Darnley Road – Parkhouse Road – Nitshill Road – Stewarton Road – Aurs Road – Stewarton Road – Craigton Road – Springhill Road and vice versa.
