HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN fod y Cyngor fel Awdurdod Priffyrdd Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr, drwy arfer ei bwerau o dan Adran 14(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn mewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn a fydd yn cyflwyno’r cyfyngiad dros dro a nodir yn yr atodlen isod. Mae angen gwneud y Gorchymyn oherwydd nad yw’r gerbytffordd yn ddigon llydan i gynnal mynediad i gerbydau yn ystod gwaith ail-wynebu’r gerbytffordd a’i fod er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd. Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 01/07/2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am uchafswm o 18 mis neu hyd nes bydd y gwaith wedi’i gwblhau, p’un bynnag sydd gynharaf. Atodlen - Ni chaiff neb beri i unrhyw gerbyd deithio ar hyd Stryd y Farchnad, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr o’i chyffordd â Dunraven Place i’r gyffordd â Heol y Dderwen am oddeutu 270 metr. Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerbydau yw trwy Dunraven Place, Stryd Wyndham, Heol y Dderwen. Bydd mynediad drwy’r cyfyngiadau ar gael i’r Heddlu, y Gwasanaeth Tân a’r Gwasanaeth Ambiwlans sy’n ymateb i argyfyngau. Bydd mynediad ar gael i gerddwyr i bob eiddo o fewn y cyfyngiad ar hyd llwybrau diffiniedig gydol y cyfnod cau. Fodd bynnag, ni fydd y cyfyngiadau’n berthnasol ond ar yr amser ac i’r graddau a nodir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig a bennir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddydau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016.

BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(MARKET STREET, BRIDGEND) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Bridgend in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily introduce the restriction set out in the schedule below. The Order is due to insufficient width of carriageway to maintain vehicular access during carriageway resurfacing works and is in the interest of public safety. The Order will come into force on 01/07/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that the planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 from 28th June 2026 to 7th July 2026.
Schedule - No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Market Street, Bridgend from its junction with Dunraven Place to its junction with Derwen Road Approximately 270 meters. The alternative route for vehicles is via Dunraven Place, Wyndham Street, Derwen Road. Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.
The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. Dated: 20/06/2026
