TEMPORARY ONE-WAY ROAD CLOSURE THE KINGSWAY (EASTBOUND), CITY CENTRE, SWANSEA NOTICE 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City and County of Swansea in pursuance of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intend to make an Order. In order for Swansea Council to undertake drainage works, it will be necessary to temporarily close the eastbound lane on the above-named road in part to vehicular traffic.

SCHEDULE - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
THE KINGSWAY (EASTBOUND), CITY CENTRE, SWANSEA

The Kingsway in an easterly direction from its junction with Christina Street to its junction with Belle Vue Way, a distance of approximately 420 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Christina Street, Mansel Street, De La Beche Street, Grove Place and Belle Vue Way, a distance of approximately 630 metres.

The westbound lane in the opposite direction will remain unaffected.

Access for emergency vehicles to be maintained at all times.

The maximum duration of the order is 18 months, and it is anticipated the work will take 21 days to complete effective from Monday 29th June 2026.
