(TEMPORARY NO WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026
On Thursday, 18 June 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made a temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which makes it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle to wait in the length of roads specified in the Schedule below, by reasons of public safety.
The Order will come into force at 08.00 hours on Monday, 29 June 2026 until 18.00 hours on Tuesday, 28 December 2027 and will be effective at any time for the duration of the Order.

THE PROPOSED EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (CANNIESBURN TOLL ROUNDABOUT, BEARSDEN) (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) AMENDMENT ORDER 20XX
East Dunbartonshire Council, in accordance with their powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, propose to consider the amendment of The East Dunbartonshire Council (Canniesburn Toll Roundabout, Bearsden) (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) Order 2023 to amend the parking restrictions to which the 2023 Order applies.
Full details of this proposal, which forms the proposed THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (CANNIESBURN TOLL ROUNDABOUT, BEARSDEN) (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) AMENDMENT ORDER 20XX, together with Map and statement of reasons for proposing to make this Order, are available for inspection without payment of fee on the Traffic Regulation Orders page of the East
Dunbartonshire Council website and at:-
(i) Bearsden Library and Community Hub, 69 Drymen Rd., Bearsden, G61 3QT (Mon-Thu 10am-8pm, Fri-Sat 10am-8pm);
(ii) Westerton Library, 82 Maxwell Avenue, Bearsden, G61 1NZ (Mon 1pm to 4.30pm & 5pm to 8pm, Tue 10am to 12.30pm & 1.30pm
to 5pm, Thu-Fri 10am to 12.30pm & 1.30pm to 5pm); Telephone Enquiries to: 0300-123-4510.
Any person wishing to object to the proposal or make any other representations in relation to the proposal must submit the objection/ representation to TROconsultation@eastdunbarton.gov.uk or in writing to East Dunbartonshire Council, 12 Strathkelvin Place, Kirkintilloch G66 1TJ no later than Friday 17th July 2026. The objection/representation must state the grounds for the objection/ representation and must state that it is an objection/representation to the proposed traffic order. All validly made objections/representations submitted in time will be considered by the Council prior to a final decision being made on the proposed traffic order.
