Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. The proposed order will come into force on the 22/06/2026 and will continue until the bridge and culvert works have been completed or until the 21/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order – 

Lakeside, Werrington 2026                                             Ref: 27-101

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the road and footpath/cycle path known as Lakeside, Werrington, road closed as lies between numbers 39 and 42, footway closed as lies between 40 and 39. The Council is satisfied that vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above road and footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order is: Road closure – none available, Footway closure – Lakeside, Skaters Way, Fenbridge Road and Fulbridge Road cyclepath and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on the 22/06/2026 and will continue until the electrical installation works have been completed or until the 21/12/2026, whichever is the earlier. Waterworks Lane                                                            Ref: 27-087

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Waterworks Lane, from outside The Chapel. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order.. The proposed order will come into force on the 22/06/2026 and will continue until the chamber cover and frame repair works have been completed or until the 21/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 22/06/2026 and the 24/06/2026. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 – 

Warwick Road                                                                 Ref: 27-095

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Warwick Road, at number 38. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Hastings Road, Arundel Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 24/06/2026 and will continue until the fire hydrant repair works have been completed or until the 23/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 24/06/2026 and the 26/06/2026. Crowland Road, Eye Green                                              Ref: 27-115

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Crowland Road, Eye Green, at Turves Farm. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Crowland Road, Thorney Road, A16, A47, Crowland Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 30/06/2026 and will continue until the overhead cabling works have been completed or until the 29/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place on the 30/06/2026 between 09:30 and 15:00. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order –  Footpaths around Bakers Lane, The Dell, Gordon Avenue, Huntley Road and 

London Road – 2026                                                       Ref: 27-116

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Footpaths around Bakers Lane, The Dell, Gordon Avenue, Huntley Road and London Road, as lies between 76, 79 and 80 The Dell. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is: 28 Gordon Avenue, 72, 53, 57, 82 The Dell and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on 02/07/2026 and will continue until the new ducting works have been completed or until the 01/01/2027, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out on 02/07/2026.

Cherry Orton Road                                                          Ref: 27-089

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Cherry Orton Road, as lies between the junction with Chapel Lane and a point 30m to the south. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Church Drive, Lady Lodge Drive, Charles Cope Road, The Gannocks, Chapel Lane and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 30/06/2026 and will continue until the planned gas works have been completed or until the 29/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 30/06/2026 and the 03/07/2026. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Unnamed access road to Tanholt Cottages, from the junction with Eyebury Road for approximately 40m. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order. The proposed order will come into force on the 29/06/2026 and will continue until the telegraph pole replacement works have been completed or until the 28/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as A47 Soke parkway, at roundabout 19. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: A47, Fulbridge Road, Topmoor Way. The proposed order will come into force on the 29/06/2026 and will continue until the survey works have been completed or until the 28/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 29/06/2026 and the 04/07/2026.
