What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Somerton Temporary Closure of Pesters Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Pesters Lane -from the junction with Wessex Rise, north-westwards for a total distance of 72 metres. This Order will enable Wales & West Utilities to lay new service.
The Order becomes effective on 2nd July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 6th July 2026 and last until 10th July 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
